Is your Infographic Missing the Mark?
One distinct online marketing trend in 2012 is the now famous infographic. These marriages of visuals and data are so (relatively) new that I can’t type the word without my spell check acting up.
If done well, infographics can make a big impact in terms of search, social and even help to drive sales. However, when done poorly, (as many are) infographics aren’t worth the time, or resources that are put into them. The bottom line here, as with many pieces of marketing content, is that quality rises to the top, and mediocrity sinks. The graphic below lists nine of the ways an infographic may fall short, and do just that.
