Make It Easy
The best way to make your product sharable is to make it easy.
Recently, I’ve had several conversations with organizations about campaigns, content marketing, and customer experience. It is very easy to get caught up in complex marketing plans and miss real-world opportunities.
It amazes me sometimes how hard it is to get the packaging off of a product. My son got a gift for his birthday this year that Danny Ocean couldn’t have gotten into. Why should it be this hard?
Remember, your audience lives in a world of convenience. They want things simple and easy. Be smart, but don’t outsmart your customers. Look for ways to remove constraints from their interactions with your brand.

David, when I transitioned from journalism to copywriting I felt intimidated. You mentioned getting “caught up in complex marketing plans”. I got caught up in complex persuasion formulas, and it was very confusing for me.
Then I stumbled upon a tip that changed my approach. The most important aspect of persuasive copy is clarity. Before you add personality or any secret sauce to copy, just make sure people understand what you’re writing.
Now, clarity itself won’t sell, but confusion sure does kill a sale.
Would you agree?
